I Am Enough

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.

There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people
won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.

We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine,

we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically
liberates others." ~ Marianne Williamson

Back From the ER Side Trip

It is 8:45 here and I have not yet been to bed.

I just got home from 6 lovely hours at the ER. They did labwork to rule out any appendix/gallbladder issues, etc. They sent me home with Percocet and a recommendation to see the ob/gyn in the next 1-2 days to be checked further and to see if the surgery date can be moved up. I will call her later today. It's going to be a long day I think. The dr. told me, "It's all about managing the pain until you have your surgery at this point." I was somewhat surprised that they didn't do an ultrasound to check on the ovary, etc. I will be calling my gyn when the office opens at 9 to see if I can get in and to speak with her about moving the surgery date up.

Waiting For My Ya Ya

Good morning friends,

Well, it's another cool day here and it's raining which is great for my new plantings but doesn't do much to lift my spirits.

I'm ready to get some bulbs ordered for fall planting so that I can have more color in the spring. Some tulips, daffodils, hyacinths, etc for along the flagstone steps, a bunch of different groundcovers for the hill to kill and some things for the cottage cutting garden that will go into the backyard next year.

My dr. appt with the gyn is this afternoon and I hope it's all good news. The incision is about 1/2 healed so I think one more week will do it. I will update all of you as soon as I know what the scoop is. After the dr., it's off to grab a quick dinner and then go to the Buckwheat Zydeco show this evening. I'm so excited but I know I'll want to dance. I'll just have to settle for the slower tunes lol!! I have a review to write of the show and hope to get some good pictures and an autograph but we'll see how it all shakes out.

What are the rest of you up today???
