I Am Enough

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.

There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people
won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.

We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine,

we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically
liberates others." ~ Marianne Williamson

New Treasures and Pictures!!!

Add Image

Hi friends, A few weeks ago the battery door on my camera broke so it's been in the shop for a while. I feel so naked when I can't document things with photos. I went thrift store shopping today and found some treasures.

The mantle runner is the latest crochet piece I've finished. That has been a doozy and I'm surprised that Zinger has left the curly fringe alone. So far so good.

The flower basket contains flowers from my bridal bouquet. I designed the flowers. The robin on the handle is 75 years old; it belonged to my grandmother and came from her wedding bouquet. I hope you've enjoyed a peek. Tomorrow we're going to Shakespeare on the Green and I will likely shoot some pictures there as well.

The bluebird plate is from Pueblo Mexico-I love how big and colorful it is! The embroidery in this piece is absolutely stunning and it breaks my heart that someone put that much work into the piece and it ended up at the Goodwill for $3. Good for me though; I seem to be on quite a roll with rescuing needlework lately.

  1. Oh Paulissa, everything is beautiful. I love the fact that the robin came from your grandmother's wedding bouquet. The mantle runner is really pretty. You sure found some really nice things at thrift stores lately. I always wonder about the history of what I find in thrift stores. It is sad that things end up in thrift stores, but like you say, lucky for us. I am so into that sort of thing.
Have a wonderful time this weekend. I look forward to seeing more pictures as you post.
