I Am Enough
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people
won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine,
we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically
liberates others." ~ Marianne Williamson

Blanketing With Love
Good morning friends,
I participated in the Project Linus Make a Blanket event yesterday and it was very cool!!! It was awe-inspiring to see so many people united for a single cause. This picture is one wall of bundled blankets; this was 1 hour into the event. I heard on the news last night that over 1000 blankets were donated. That is just amazing to me. I will definitely be doing it again.
Today I have 1 document to finish for my WORD class, then review for the 2 hour timed test that I will take later today. I hope to do better than the last one.
Other than that, I will be lazing about with yarn and hook in hand.
How about you?

Sounds as though Project Linus is a very worthwhile project. That is a lot of blankets to be donated.
ReplyDeleteWhat are you crocheting now? I love seeing all the creativity that people have. I guess that is why I love going to craft shows, and quilt shows.
I have been trying to get things in order for the next phase of our house redecorating. I am overwhelmed with my stuff in the sewing room.
Have a wonderful day.

I am crocheting a scarf for David's birthday, a shawl, a baby afghan for my new step-niece (born on Feb 13th), and an afghan. Toooooooo many projects!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to a craft fair next Saturday; I hope I find some cool gifts there for Christmas. Then the following Saturday my best friend and I are getting together for her b-day and then going thrift store shopping.
We are getting ready to paint our kitchen and dining room this spring. The kitchen will be getting done in a light mint or sage green and Mary Engelbreit theme, and the dining room will be lavender, I think. Then we'll put up some new crown mouldings and borders in both rooms.
