I Am Enough

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.

There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people
won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.

We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine,

we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically
liberates others." ~ Marianne Williamson

Happy Birthday David!!!

Good morning,

Today is David's birthday. My dear hubby is 41 now and looking better than ever. We don't really have any big plans today but I am accompanying him to pool this evening and taking him to brunch Sunday morning after church. His birthday gifts were renewing our Angie's list membership for 2 years (a great tool if you're having home repairs done; the ratings are consumer ratings so it is more reliable than the BBB) and the peacock scarf.

I am off work today so that I can get my hearing tested and get fitted for new hearing aids. I also want to get some recommendations for hearing aid compatible telephones. I have a hard time hearing on standard phones because either they don't have a volume control or because they are not compatible they cause feedback in to the microphone which is excruciating when it is in one's ear!

Nothing much else going on but lots of errans: dropping off the taxes, dropping off my digital camera to have the battery door replaced, some film to be developed, picking up the dry cleaning, joining my mentor for lunch, and then hopefully, home for a nap before picking David up and heading to pool. I will take a book and my latest crochet project with me (a baby blanket for that lovely niece) so I have something to do while he's playing.

What are the rest of you up to today?
