I Am Enough

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.

There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people
won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.

We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine,

we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically
liberates others." ~ Marianne Williamson

  1. The color is beautiful, one of my favorites. Your puff stitch is so pretty. You created a really nice pattern. I read it and it doesn't seem too complicated, so maybe I will give it a try after I finish some of my half done projects.

What is your favorite brand of yarn to work with?

    Happy Sunday

  2. I really like Hobby Lobby's I Love this Yarn. It is soft and holds up well, though Red Heart Super Saver is pretty good as well and softens with each washing.

I like that this pattern is unisex; just a change in color would take care of making it masculine. I think it would look pretty cool in a heathered print. Homespun would be a poor choice for it because the texture of the yarn doesn't lend itself to textured stitches.

  3. I'd love to see pictures if you make it; since this is my first design I'm anxious to see how it looks in other permutations.

  4. No Hobby Lobby's around here but I have worked with Red Heart super Saver. One of these days I would like to try to make it. I just don't have a lot of confidence because I have been sticking to really simple things. I might pop up with it one of these days. though.
