I Am Enough

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.

There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people
won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.

We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine,

we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically
liberates others." ~ Marianne Williamson

Cup of Tea

Good morning friends,

I hope the morning light finds you happy and in good spirits.

Well, I (barely) passed the re-test so I get to live another week! I've begun going through review problems and setting them up; solving them as I have time but since setup takes me so long I thought that would help with the test anxiety if I could set things up more quickly. I've also spent some time on identifying terms and going through looking at problems and identifying when I should use a reciprocal and when I should get an lcd. I found a math anxiety bill of rights on the mathpower.com website and it will be posted in my math books and notebooks from here on out.

Today will be kind of busy for me. I have work, dinner, and then I'm heading over to a friend's house to pic up a Steam Vac she has, then it's settling down to solve the math problems I set up last night so David can help me if I need it. Maybe, just maybe I will actually get to crochet for the first time in a week!!!!
I have gorgeous new hooks to do it with!!!!

What are you up to today???

  1. Hi Paulissa,

I am feeling pretty good tonight so I have been looking at all your hard work on your new blogs. I think your recipes really sound good.

Yes I love Eva Cassidy too. Thanks for visiting my blog. I am going to have to get busy and post and put some photos on soon.

Sounds like you have had a tough time with your Algebra. I know you will come through fine. You are a hard worker.

    Have a great evening.

  2. Thanks Iris,

There will be more recipes going up this weekend. I'm trying to shut down my yahoogroup since myself and my moderator are the only persons who post. So I thought that if I put the information up on a blog, it's searchable with tags, easily organized, and more people could benefit. so I've been moving files.

The algebra is getting easier; I'm starting to see patterns. David suggested that before I solve any problems, I determine the type of problem, and set it up, let him check my setup, and then solve. That strategy seems to be working out well so far and we'll see how it translates to Monday's test.

Eva had such a pure voice. You and I have very similar tastes in music.
